Stanford University, nestled in the heart of Silicon Valley, is a global hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. This region has been the birthplace of countless transformative technologies, and Stanford itself is a pioneer in academic and industry collaboration. It was an honor to present at the Stanford Faculty Club to the advisory board of the Trans-Nation Co-Creation program (TNCC), sharing insights on innovation in universities through AI. Here is the pitch text:
“There are universities that make things happen (like Stanford), universities that watch things happen, and universities that, after a while, wonder what happened.
Why will they ‘wonder what happened’? They underestimate the exponential growth and power of AI. They failed to integrate AI into all learning topics and relevant university processes in teaching and administration.
We at TrOn are analyzing university processes and turning them into intelligent code for 20 years. Our new approach is based on combining old-school algorithmic intelligence with new-school generative intelligence. Only this combined approach can create effective, attractive, and legally secure systems.
That’s where our platform SMARTA steps in. SMARTA stands for Student Motivation and Reflective Trainings AI-Assistants. It is used by thousand of students every day. These chatbots work as 24/7 student coaches. As a coach, for effective 1-on-1 coaching, you need background information about the student. And this is what makes SMARTA unique. Our Chatbots know the student’s background from the start of the conversation – knowing their name, gender, and age, but also their courses, study program, current lectures, next exam, and even whether they’re good or bad at math. Our Chatbots know what should be learned and even create quizzes, trying to keep the student in the flow between boredom and overwhelming stress in the learning process. Over time, our Chatbots remember important details, simulating empathy and building a connection.
